Just keep swimming

Hey Mr. Grumpy Gills
You know what you gotta do when life gets you down?
Just keep swimming,
Just keep swimming,
Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming.
What do we do? We swim, swim, swim!
OH, HO, HO! How I love to swim!
When you WAAAAAANNTTT to swim, you want to swim!  (Finding Nemo)

Even though summer is coming to an end, we refuse to give up our time at the pool!  Thank goodness Highlands Ranch has plenty of pools to satisfy our need to play in the water.

Steven is still in swimming lessons, although we have started sending him to the rec centers instead of to Safe Splash.  Now that he is older, he can handle long sessions in the cooler water and with groups of kids.   We go twice a week, and we have to make sure that at least once a week we have extra time for him to play and go down the slide.

We take Grant to the pool during Steven's lessons so he gets used to the routine and so he is comfortable in the water.  Matt dunked him last week and he didn't gasp, cry, or make a face.  He is happy to be in the water!

Grant's first time at the pool

Yesterday we took the boys to one of the rec centers for some fun at the pool.  Steven LOVES to swim.  He is in weekly lessons and we try to make frequent trips to the "fun pool," too.
(Steven calls the different pools his "lesson pool" and his "fun pool."

It was Grant's first official swim, so we had to take lots of pictures.  He really enjoyed the water, so it looks like both of our boys are going to be little fish.  We will have to make many summer pool trips!

Here is Grant ready to hit the pool!

Grant and Mommy get ready for the water.

I love my boys!

Daddy is the best when it comes to pool time.  He is a good sport - always chasing Steven around.

Grant had a great time.  He was very tired, too!
