Carving pumpkins with my little Wild Thing

This Monday, Steven and I carved a pumpkin together.  Even though it will be his third Halloween, it is the first year we carved pumpkins.  He was very excited and he wanted a "Wild Thing" pumpkin, which meant that he sat back and watched me do most of the work.  He was a big helper when it came to scraping out the seeds and at the end when it was time to light the candle.

Here he is opening the pumpkin and getting ready to scrape out all of the seeds:

Steven said, "Wild Thing pumpkin!  Wild Things show their terrible claws!"
(Anyone who has read Where the Wild Things Are knows exactly what he's talking about.)

Say cheese!
