Easter is a special holiday in my family. It is a fun time for the kids - Steven colored eggs, went on a scavenger hunt, ate candy, played with his family, and took home some new toys. It is also a special time for us as we celebrate Jesus's resurrection from the dead to become the Savior of the world. I love church during the Easter season because as we have so much to celebrate! I am blessed with a wonderful family and it was so amazing to celebrate the holiday with all of the new babies.
Here are some pictures from the day:
The Smith boys getting ready for church on Sunday morning...
Grant was eager for his first holiday (even though he spent most of the day asleep).
Steven spent a long time digging through his Easter toys. Seriously!!! It was like a mini-Christmas. The kids were all spoiled by parents, Oma and Opa, and aunts and uncles.
The highlight of Steven's day was a GIANT chocolate bunny.
(He didn't eat it all in one day. Actually, we still have half of it left. It was a big bunny.)
The other highlight of his day was a Cars racetrack. Steven loves, loves, loves Cars. He has most of the movie memorized (so does his Daddy).
Check out the adorable baby blues of my sweet nephew and Godson, Brody. He was a good boy in church and he had fun with his first "stereo." (Elmo's music rocks!)
Two of my favorite people in the whole world:
Opa holds his grandson, Nicholas (aka Patches).
Isaac enoys a sucker and his new golf set.
(Watch out if you get close! A toddler's version of golf means that he swings the club as hard as he can at anything in front of him.)
Even with all the new toys, nothing beats an empty cardboard box!
It was a fun day. We are a very lucky family and we are thankful to experience the Lord's blessings. Happy Easter to everyone!
