On May 22nd (one day before his actual birthday), we celebrated Steven's third birthday.
For breakfast he requested pancakes and maraschino cherries. It was a strange combination, but he loved it.
In the afternoon we went to Civic Green Park (in Highlands Ranch) and we rented a shelter. It was a great location for a birthday party, and we all had fun even though it was very windy.
The theme of the party was dinosaurs (shocking, I know).
Steven is playing with a chomping dinosaur (one of the party favors).
Shantelle gives Grant some attention.
He had a busy day, but did great considering the long party and the wind.
The kids were able to play in a wading pool at the park.
Some of them just got their feet wet, and others were soaked from head to toe
(especially little Henry - he dove right in and kept on playing).

The cake had a plastic dinosaur that jumped out of the center and roared. Steven and Nigel loved it!
It was an amazing day. Happy Birthday, Steven!
